Ingredients
- 300 g cold mashed potato
- Salt and pepper
- 200 g extra mature cheddar
- 100 g caramelised onion chutney
- 1 roll of Puff Pastry
- 1 Beaten egg
- 2 tbsp Poppy seeds
Instructions
- Mix together the potato, cheese and chutney in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper.
- Unroll the pastry, and slice in half longways.
- On each half make a ‘sausage’ of filling down the middle from end to end.
- Brush with beaten egg and fold each side of the pastry up on top of the filling to meet and overlap in the middle. Seal well using fingers and more egg wash.
- Turn the sausage over so the pastry ‘join’ is underneath, then cut into the preferred size rolls, with a few air holes cut on top too. Bruch again with egg wash, then sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Place in the fridge to chill and repeat with the remaining pastry and filling.
- Select BAKE on the Vortex Air Fryer, and set the time to 8 minutes and the temperature to 199°C and press start.
- Once the Air Fryer has preheated, add the rolls in batches of about 6 at a time (leaving space so they don’t touch)
- Once cooked, enjoy warm!
