Product:
Vortex Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 500 g extra-lean ground beef
- 250 g ground pork
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 4 cheese slices
- 4 burger buns
Toppings
- lettuce
Mayonnaise Sauce
- 30 ml ketchup
- 75 ml mayonnaise
- 2 tsp relish or chopped pickles
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the meats, gently mixing so you don’t overmix. Shape and press into four burger patties, about 1/4 inch thick. Press a thumbprint indentation into each patty, and then season with salt and pepper.
- Select Air Fry on the Vortex and adjust Temperature to 190°C and set Time to 9 minutes. Preheat Vortex until display indicates Add Food.
- When prompted, lightly spray the patties and place them into the frying chamber, with the indented hole downwards.
- When display indicates Turn Food, flip patties over and continue to cook until lightly browned and juices run clear when pierced. If you have a meat thermometer, then check the internal temperature reads 71°C.
- Place cheese slice on top of each burger and place back into the Vortex. Select Reheat at 200°C for 2 minutes so the cheese starts to melt.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup and relish and mix well.
- Once the burger and cheese is ready, assemble the burger by spreading the mayonnaise sauce inside of buns, place burger on bottom and garnish with toppings of your choice.
